Dandy Fleming

Dandy Fleming.jpg

Dandy Fleming loves to serve and has raised her daughters with that same servant's heart. Dandy is mother to Cali and Alison, both who are part of Freedom Youth. We are so thankful for Dandy and the time she gives to teach 4th grade girls in MPACT each Wednesday night, lead breakout groups during Freedom Kids on Sundays, and serve each year at VBS!

Dandy lived in central Texas for many years before moving back to the DFW area. One of her first priorities was to find a local church. She visited several in the area with friends, but hadn't found the right one YET! So she relied on Google to find some "close" options. Freedom was the first on the list, though not closest in proximity. While she reviewed Freedom's website she saw one of the staff members who shared her name. She had never met someone with her name before and that inspired her to show up for a Sunday service. Looking back Dandy knows that she was obedient to where God was telling her to go. here is no doubt in Dandy's mind that this connection was ordained by God, that she was placed at Freedom Church for a specific reason, which has led to many prayers being answered, and strong, intimate friendships.

The transition to life back in DFW has been difficult for Dandy and her daughters. As a single parent, she has much to manage by herself. She is so grateful for our prayers and incredible blessings from generous, loving friends. She wants to give a big shout out to Courtney Lawless and Debbie Cordischi, ladies who stepped into Dandy's life and blessed her immensely. She also asks that we cover her daughters in prayer, specifically for restoration as they are sometimes conflicted as they miss the love and support of their earthly father. We are so happy that Dandy is a part of our Freedom family!

Robin Campbell

Robin Campbell.jpg

Robin Campbell is a mom to three, a grandmother to one, and speaks with joy and delight when talking about anyone in her family. Spending time at the beach and collecting seashells are her favorite things to do with them. Robin is full of love and lives with an open heart. She is gracious to extend the love that she has received!

Robin has a wonderful, strong story of redemption. After experiencing much pain and loss during her teen years, she fondly remembers a friend's mom, Peggy, consistently speaking the beauty of Jesus over her life. Robin recognized the peace and comfort she felt by being around Peggy, but chose to continue to live and walk through life her own way. She remembers being completely "out of control" and feeling like she had reached rock bottom, overcome with deep pain and desperation. Knowing the love and peace that Peggy walked in, Robin called her when she felt at her lowest. Peggy spoke the promises of Jesus over the phone that day and walked Robin through a prayer asking Jesus to be the Lord of her life. What a blessing!

Robin has been a Regional Vice President at Primerica Financial Services for many years. Her current goal is to increase her business by helping more families this year. Her office and colleagues focus on keeping God at the center of their lives and businesses. She is thankful for her business associate and mentor, Josh, for being a consistent uplifting force, which is also what she desires — to be an uplifting voice to others.

Bill Wiser

Bill Wiser.jpg

We are excited to introduce you to Bill Wiser. Bill has been attending Freedom Church for 8 years. He is a believer and advocate for supporting and growing the local church! He walks out this belief by volunteering and serving consistently. Currently, Bill is helping lead a small group that is studying the book of Galatians. Every month you will also find him serving at the Ronald McDonald house, as well as ushering on Sunday mornings with a smile on his face.

Bill is the husband of Julie and father to David and Philip. He works as a skilled carpenter by trade, focusing on custom carpentry, and is also a home inspector and contractor. Bill practices "seeing people as God sees them" and stays focused on spending his time on worthwhile things of eternal value and reward.

Bill said that he was invited to Freedom years ago by some friends who attended. One of the reasons he stayed was seeing faithful people, especially the many who were serving with the children. He speaks highly of the men serving in the Royal Rangers department who show "long-haul" faithfulness as they serve week in and week out for many years.

If you haven't met Bill or Julie yet, hopefully you will soon. They are a blessing to know!

Stefanie Winland

Stephanie Winland.jpg

Stefanie Winland, wife, mother and teacher with a true servant's spirit, is married to Jason and they have 2 daughters, McKenzie and Hadley. Freedom Church is blessed to have Stefanie serving in the children's ministry and in the children's classrooms. Through the years of volunteering, she said that she has enjoyed growing in relationship with Mike and Misti, Children's ministry pastors. Besides serving on Sundays, Stefanie also shares her time and talents running the Imagination Station at Freedom's incredibly-interactive VBS each summer!!
Stefanie is in her 11th year of teaching at Hebron Valley Elementary. She is currently a Language Acquisition Specialist, teaching ESL to over 100 students. Stefanie absolutely loves her job and the children she teaches.
During college, Stefanie met, dated and married Jason. They were both believers in Christ but were not plugged in to a church community once they moved back to DFW area. She knew that "something was missing" and began to seek out a church. They visited Freedom Church and felt this is where they should be. Ever since the Next Steps class, they have been actively attending and growing in faith at Freedom. Currently the Winlands lead a small group in their home, and their small group is open to people with elementary-age children.
Tracie, Stefanie's mother-in-law, has been a great source of inspiration for Stefanie. She has been a spiritual rock during Stefanie's growth with God as well as throughout her marriage.
When speaking about feelings of accomplishment, Stefanie points to seeing people around her happy, being an example to family, growing in faith and having a sense of order. Stefanie hopes her Freedom family will join her in praying for Jason's current business venture. Please lift them up in your prayers!

Diane Bills

Diane Bills.jpg

Freedom Church is thrilled that Diane Bills is part of our family. Diane was invited by a friend to Freedom four years ago and has been attending, volunteering and growing here ever since! She participates in two small groups and co-leads one of them. Diane has always had a passion to encourage and guide women, and she also welcomes and greets guests before the 9:30am service. Known as "Mimi" to four precious grandchildren, Diane adores them, cheerfully talks about them and says they bring her so much joy!

A native Texan, Diane was born in Austin but landed in Dallas after a few stops in between. With many years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Diane was blessed with an answer to many prayers when she landed her dream job at a local oil and gas company! However, after an industry-wide layoff, she prayed and waited on God, proclaiming that she "goes where God calls me." A prayer on her heart, and one that Freedom can join in with her, is for her son and his family to allow God to lead their way and their lives – that they will gravitate toward Him.

When asked about special people that radiate beauty in her life, she recalled several women that attend Freedom who have impacted her: Crystal, Starla, Charlotte, Vanessa...Diane sees them as transparent, open, down-to-earth women carrying the joy of the Lord. Thank you, Diane, for being an integral part of our Freedom Family!

Joy Litaba

Joy Litaba.jpg

Joy Litaba moved to North Texas 16 years ago with her family from their home in Kenya. As a recent nursing graduate, Joy works in the ICU at Plano Presbyterian Hospital. She is planning to earn her Critical Care certificate soon, and she is also considering attending school for her Master's Degree in Nurse Psychology. Please pray for her as she seeks direction regarding this big decision and considers which avenue would help more people! Joy's servant heart is seen even as she evaluates her future plans! But this wasn't always the case. Several years ago, Joy was carrying lots of stress and living with her guard up, only trusting herself. Within the last two to three years she has reignited her walk with Christ. Joining a small group at Freedom two years ago helped Joy build encouraging and strong relationships. Now she volunteers in the nursery here, caring and loving on our infants. What a blessing she is to our babies and their families!!! If Joy has free time, she loves to spend time with her dog, Hershey. When asked who Joy knows that radiates beauty, she quickly answered her sister Daisy – a loving and caring person, sister and mother. Thank you, Joy, for being a part of our Freedom Family and sharing your life with us!
