Hello!
I received a letter from a lady in our church recently. She began by saying that she and her husband had been faithful tithers for years. She told me the story of how she had been informed that her company was letting her go, and she was given a termination date. She went back to her desk with several emotions swirling all at once. She was angry, disappointed, confused, conflicted and sad. She wanted to walk out and never look back. The day couldn’t end fast enough. She thought about not going back the next day. But after she had time to pray, she knew she had to go back with her head held high and do her job, unto God, not unto man.
As she returned to work, she went above and beyond what was expected of her and she did it all with a grateful heart. Her positive attitude was confusing upper management. Then, out of nowhere she was given a job lead and informed management that she would be taking half a day off to go on the interview. Within five minutes, she was called in the office and was offered a new position within her current company. She negotiated a higher wage and an extra weeks’ vacation. Bam! That’s what a child of God does.
Some people would have sabotaged their own promotion with a bad attitude. But a person with the Spirit of Excellence, turns what appears to be misfortune, into favor.
Daniel 6:3 (ESV) Then this Daniel became distinguished above all the other high officials and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him. And the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom.
When you tithe, you are operating in the Spirit of Excellence. Remain faithful to God because He is always faithful to you.

Week 2 of the 90 Day Tithe Challenge
You are just 2 few weeks into the 90 Day Tithe Challenge. Again, let me say thank you for your willingness to take the challenge. I believe God will honor you and will continue to bless you as you remain faithful and obedient to Him.
As you continue in the habit of giving and showing yourself faithful as a good steward of the resources that God has entrusted into your care, I want to remind you of some of the scriptural benefits of tithing.
Read over these and be encouraged, “The Best is Yet to Come.”
Ten Benefits of Tithing
God is pleased by your Obedience.
Malachi 3:10 “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse…”
Leviticus 27:32 “The entire tithe…every tenth…will be holy to the Lord.”
God is honored by your Faithfulness.
Proverbs 3:9 “Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops…”
It helps keep your Priorities straight.
Deuteronomy 14:23 (LB) “The purpose of tithing is to teach you to always put God first place in your life.”
Matthew 6:21 “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Tithing makes you Eligible for a blessing.
Malachi 3:10-11 “’Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,’ says the LORD Almighty, ‘and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast their fruit.’ Says the LORD Almighty.”
Tithing guards Christians from Materialism.
1 Timothy 6:17-18 “Command these who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.”
God loves a Cheerful giver.
2 Corinthians 9:6-7 “Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he had decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
Support of the Great Commission.
Matthew 28:19 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations…”
Ensures your needs will be met.
Matthew 6:33 “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
Tithing helps meet the needs of God’s people.
1 Corinthians 16:1-2 “Now about the collection for God’s people: Do what I told the Galatian churches to do. One the first day of every week, each of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made.”
Tithing reminds us that God is the true owner and giver of all that we have.
Deuteronomy 8:18 “Always remember that it is the Lord your God who gives you the ability to produce wealth.”
I love you and I am praying for you my friend.

Week 1 of the 90 Day Tithe Challenge
I wanted to send a quick letter applauding you for your commitment in taking the 90-Day Tithe Challenge. For some of you, this is your first time to make a commitment to tithing. For others, you are using this time to recommit and start tithing again. And lastly, there are some of you who are using this time to commit to giving over and above your tithe to experience God’s multiplication in your life! Wherever you are in your giving journey, I realize that with every challenge, comes the potential for difficulties.
I want each of you to know that I will not only be praying for you every step of the way, I will be sending you a weekly email with something to encourage you in your walk of faith over the next 90 days! And, although you may face some challenges along the way, as you remain faithful in the face of those challenges, I believe that your faithfulness will position you for some of the greatest blessings that you have ever experienced in your life!
If you have questions about the commitment you have made, you can read our Tithing FAQ sheet by clicking HERE. It will help to provide you with scriptural answers that you may have along the way. However, if at any time during this challenge you have additional questions or become discouraged, I want you to contact me, or one of my staff. We are here to talk with you, pray with you and help you succeed.
Now, before I close, one bit of advice on your journey of generosity. If there is one thing that I have learned over the years, it’s that you can’t expect God to bless unwise choices. So, I encourage you to establish a simple budget to ensure that you are not spending more money than you make, knowing that God expects us to use basic budgeting principles when it comes to our finances.
Please know that I will be praying and believing for God to Throw Open the windows of heaven on your behalf, and pour out so many blessings that you will not have enough room to receive it. And lastly, when those blessings come, I want you to send an email to mystory@findfreedom.church as I would love to hear what God is doing in your life.
