On Behalf of Pastor Kendall:
Hello Freedom Family!
We’ve received notification from the City of Carrollton prohibiting gatherings of more than 500 people. Due to the layout of our buildings and our service times, we are well within the guidelines of the ordinance.
As followers of Christ, we honor the authority the Lord has placed over us, so we will honor the spirit of the ordinance which was given to, “take very seriously and are made out of an abundance of caution in the interest of our residents’ well-being.” Mayor Falconer.
SERVICES ARE NOT CANCELLED. We will come together to worship the Lord.
We are, however, making the below modifications:
• Greet one another with a smile instead of a handshake.
• Discipleship classes and fellowships are cancelled in order to adhere to the ordinance and still hold main services.
• Please depart the premises as soon as your service is released. This will allow those in the next service to enter and us maintain the requirements of the ordinance.
• If you are not attending in person, watch online! Do not forsake the gathering of the people of God.
Please use wisdom:
Older adults and people who have severe underlying chronic medical conditions like heart or lung disease or diabetes seem to be at higher risk for developing more serious complications from COVID-19 illness. www.cdc.gov
So, if you are in this category, please use wisdom and take necessary steps to stay healthy.
All of us are to practice everyday preventive actions:
• Stay home when you are sick, except to get medical care.
• Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
• Clean frequently touched surfaces and objects daily. (Freedom has been using disinfectant on surfaces and air distribution for weeks)
We will continue to monitor the recommendations of leadership and we will continue to respond in the peace and wisdom of the Lord. Let’s walk through this season with our hearts and mind stayed on Jesus Christ above all else.
Encourage one another and encourage those in the world. This is a time for believers to be a light to the world.
Be effective through prayer:
• Ask the Lord to intervene and bring this health crisis to an end to protect people worldwide
• Pray for those families and individuals affected by this virus
• Pray a special covering of protection upon our elderly and those with underlying health conditions
• Pray for wisdom and discernment for our government and healthcare leaders
• Pray for peace and faith to arise in the hearts of Gods children
• Pray for businesses large and small to find creative and compassionate ways to respond to their employees and customers
• Pray that this will result in a spiritual awakening in our nation.
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7
Stay Free Freedom!
PS – the team in Israel is still coming home on time. We are in constant communication with Pastor Kendall. Continue to keep them covered in prayer.
