Is the District aware of the current state of Freedom Church?

Yes, the District is aware and committed to walking with Freedom Church through this challenging season. In addition, the district has made the North Texas AG Presbyter, Ben Debeof, available for contact if you believe you have any additional information on the matter. You can reach him at bdebeof@thousandhillspeople.org

Why are we handling it differently now than before?

The situation that was addressed and navigated earlier in the year was based on a different set of information than we are currently navigating. The leadership of Freedom Church is navigating new claims and will remain devoted to providing diligence and clarity throughout this process.

Why haven’t the church announced other staff pastor transitions?

Unfortunately, we’re in difficult times as a church. When times like these arise, sadly it’s acquainted with those who choose to leave. This includes staff and members alike. With the timeline of events and the announcements to the church, we haven’t been able to inform the church with additional staff updates, and not currently sure if and when that happens.
